1. Overview

Transfer your existing ISO certification to Essential Standardization Institution (ESI) and add more value to your business. ESI provides reliable, transparent, and internationally aligned certification services to support your growth.

2. Why Transfer to ESI

ESI ensures a smooth and fast transfer process with minimal effort from your side. Our focus is on service excellence, qualified auditors, and long-term certification support for certified organisations.

3. Benefits of Transfer to ESI

By transferring your valid ISO certificate to ESI, you gain cost-effective certification, international recognition, qualified audit support, improved customer confidence, and access to a structured certification management system.

4. Eligibility for Transfer

Only valid and active ISO certificates are accepted for transfer to ESI. Certificates that are suspended, withdrawn, expired, or not maintained under the certification cycle are not eligible.

5. Certification Transfer Process

The certification transfer process at ESI is simple and systematic. It starts with your request for transfer and ends with issuance of an ESI certificate upon successful review and decision.

6. ESI Certification Cycle

6.1 Year 1 – Transfer & Transition

Step 1.1 Transfer Application

The client submits a transfer request to ESI along with the last audit report, non-conformity status, and a valid ISO certificate. ESI reviews the details and shares a proposal for acceptance.

Step 1.2 Transition Audit

ESI conducts a transition audit to verify ongoing compliance. The audit report is reviewed by the Certification Decision Committee for approval.

Step 1.3 Certificate Management

If the decision is positive, the ISO certificate is issued by ESI. If gaps are found, a verification audit may be planned before certification approval.

6.2 Year 2 & Year 3 – Surveillance & Renewal

Step 2.1 Surveillance Planning

ESI coordinates with the client for the annual surveillance audit as per the certification cycle. The client confirms readiness for audit.

Step 2.2 Surveillance Audit

ESI conducts the surveillance audit to ensure continued compliance. Audit findings are reviewed by the Certification Decision Committee.

Step 2.3 Ongoing Certificate Management

If no critical non-conformities are found, the certificate is renewed. Clients can access audit reports, certificates, and corrective actions through the ESI portal.

7. Important Note

Certificates that are suspended, withdrawn, or not properly maintained cannot be transferred. In such cases, ESI will guide the organisation through a fresh certification process for the applicable ISO standard.
